Welcome to the other John McPhee's blog. 
The real John McPhee would be the Pulitzer-winning author and Princeton University professor. His incredible journalism includes Coming into the Country, A Sense of Where You Are and the geology epic Annals of the Former World (that's the Pulitzer winner).
Any time I can promote his writing, I'll do it, hence the name of this project. 
While my main webiste, www.outsiderdiaries.ca, offers a more focused exploration of astronomy and nature, this one provides a grab-bag space for whatever thoughts I feel worth of putting down in the digital ether.
Obviously there aren't enough places on the web where people spout off their opinions and observations, so I wanted to fill that need.
Yes, sarcasm likely will play a large role in this blog. Again, there's just not enough of it in the world.
And if nobody ever puts eyes on this page, that's fine too. It's a little late in life to start a diary but what the hell.
